Designing For Purpose
As Senior Graphic Designer at Barnardos Australia, I worked across brand, campaign, print and digital design, creating communications for fundraising, advocacy and organisational initiatives. From publications and reports to social media, infographics, illustration and motion, I translated complex and often sensitive information into clear, engaging visual stories while keeping every piece consistent with the Barnardos brand.
From Brief to Delivery
Working within the Brand and Marketing team meant collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation and balancing a wide range of projects, audiences and priorities. I helped shape briefs, develop creative concepts and carry ideas through to final delivery across print and digital channels.
Alongside campaign and day-to-day design, I focused on creating practical systems that made the brand easier to use consistently across the organisation.

Impact
Beyond individual campaigns and communications, I helped strengthen the Barnardos visual system through updated brand guidelines, a digital style guide and reusable social and marketing templates. These tools created greater consistency across touchpoints while giving internal teams practical resources they could continue to use.
NextGen
Adapting the Barnardos brand for a younger audience

The challenge was to connect with teenagers and young adults without changing the established Barnardos identity. The existing brand worked well for families and younger children, but could feel more corporate or primary-school focused when speaking to an older youth audience.

For NextGen, I explored how the existing visual system could be pushed in a more relevant direction for social media. Brighter colours from the established palette became more prominent, layouts were more expressive, and animation played a greater role in bringing content to life. The creative was also shaped around topics and messaging that mattered to young people, creating a more energetic extension of the Barnardos brand while still feeling recognisably Barnardos.
The Champions Ride
Community Fundraising Campaign
The Champions Ride already had a strong campaign identity, so the opportunity wasn’t to redesign it, but to build on what was working. I extended the existing visual language across social media, flyers, event collateral and name tags, creating a consistent Barnardos Australia fundraising campaign across each touchpoint. After the event, I brought the campaign to life through animation, creating a wrap-up video that celebrated the riders, fundraising and impact of the event.

Peter Pan Op Shop
Fashion Fundraising Campaign
The Peter Pan Op Shop had traditionally used a more understated visual style and attracted an older, loyal audience. For this campaign, the challenge was to give the event a fresh identity that could reach a younger fashion-conscious audience without losing the people who already knew and loved it.
With 1970s fashion influencing contemporary trends at the time, I used the era as inspiration for a warmer, more expressive visual direction. Retro typography, curved graphics and an earthy colour palette gave the Barnardos Australia fundraising event a distinctive look that felt current without becoming too trend-led or unfamiliar. I extended the campaign identity across social media, flyers, clothing tags and shopping bags, creating a consistent experience from promotion through to the event itself.
