Illustration has been a part of my life since a young age. To my mother’s horror I would paint the walls and carpet in my bedroom when I was only 5 years old. Since then, I have traded the bricks and mortar for paper and watercolours.
When I am not doing graphic design, I am creating bespoke digital art for my Etsy store. This side hustle gives me so much joy when hearing feedback from families and couples about how the illustration is now the centre piece of their home.
Patterns and digital illustration go hand in hand with each other. Though trend research I have created mood boards to inspire the next series of patterns I want to create.
Painting on glass is a trend that I am currently exploring. I enjoy the shadows the work makes when on a transparent canvas. The unique style of this art form makes me inspired to continue painting.
Watercolour is the traditional art form I lean towards. I enjoy the imperfections the paint creates, making every artwork unique to me and the person getting the work.
